Our Story…

Once a teen mother, Shaleea wrote the book Little Girl, Little Girl, Don ‘t Get Lost in This World as a guide to help at risk young women not to fall into some of the same mistakes that she made. Not long after writing the book, she knew there was more for her to do in her effort to reach young women. She prayed on it and founded VGI.

Venney Girl Inc (Corp # C-4212790) was formed to help transform the lives of at risk youth girls and young women. Some of us aren't afforded the privilege of being around positive role models.  It is hard to become something that you haven't seen. It is our belief that if provided with the resources and tools needed, these young women could not only overcome their circumstances, but thrive. We must Help her. When she is helped, the community also prospers. 

VGI is working on gaining our non profit status. We are going to be hosting summer camps, mentoring programs, girls conferences and workshops, scholarship giveaways, and more. We need your support to make this happen.
